If you want to straighten your teeth or align your bite, traditional orthodontics are still a wonderful way to do it. For those with more complicated alignment and straightening needs, traditional braces are often still the best option.
At our practice, we love to offer as many options as we can to you. We are proud to offer Invisalign, but we’re just as happy to provide you with traditional bracket and wire braces.
No matter what method you choose, our promise to you is that we’ll always do our best to help you achieve a straight and beautiful smile. Not only do we want it to look good, but we also want it to function well and stay healthy.
We Can Help!
We’ll examine your mouth and help you determine which orthodontic solution is best for you. We understand that each patient has a unique smile, distinct needs, and different goals. We offer personalized treatment plans to address your smile in a way that makes sense to you.
How do Traditional Braces Work?
Traditional braces employ brackets and wires to put pressure on your teeth, slowly but steadily moving them into a better position. Every six weeks or so, we’ll bring you in to adjust the wires. By doing so, we can ensure your teeth continue to move in the right direction.
If your bite is maladjusted, we may also use rubber bands to help shift it and give you a better alignment. After we remove the braces, we’ll fit you with a retainer, which will help your teeth stay straight.
Are Traditional Braces Right For Me?
After examining your teeth and mouth, we can help you determine which orthodontic solution will be most helpful for you. Traditional braces can address a host of issues, including serious problems with alignment, unevenly placed teeth, crowding, and various bite issues.
Even complicated orthodontic issues can be addressed with traditional braces. We’re happy to provide this option because we understand that some patients will need and want to use traditional braces for their more advanced issues.
